: On 15 November 2009 a contract was signed between Power Grid Company of Bangladesh Ltd.(PGCB) and CCC-Etern, China for a 132kV underground power transmission line between Old Airport to Dhaka Cantonment. The later will design, supply, erect, test and commission the 5km power transmission line for PGCB. In a simple ceremony Mr. Md. Ashraf Hossain, Company Secretary of PGCB and Mr. Hua Jie, Project Manager of CCC in Bangladesh signed the agreement for an amount of USD8, 417,177.30 and BDT84, 599,433.56 for the line. |
