A deed of agreement was signed between Power Grid Company of Bangladesh Ltd. (PGCB) and Siemens Ltd., India to design, supply, erect, test and commission work of expansion of Aminbazar grid substation for PGCB. The contract was awarded for an amount of Euro836, 431.00 and BDT8, 744,515.00 to do the work on turnkey basis. Mr. Jose Joseph, Vice President (High Voltage Substation) and Ms. Nishi Saksena, Sr. Manager (Commercial), High Voltage System of Siemens Ltd. India on behalf of contractor and Mr. Md. Ashraf Hossain, Company Secretary of PGCB on behalf of employer signed the agreement on 16 June 2010 in presence of high officials of PGCB.

Power Grid Company of Bangladesh Ltd. has assigned SIEMENS Consortium Old Airport Project to design, supply, erect, test and commission a 230/132/33kV gas insulated switchgear (GIS) substation at Old Airport, Dhaka. A deed of agreement for an amount of Euro10,178,991.00 and BDT140,143,831.00 executed on 11 April 2010 between the two organizations in a simple ceremony. Mr. Md. Ashraf Hossain, Company Secretary of PGCB on behalf of the employer and Mr. Joachin Heyl, Vice President (Business Administration ), Siemens AG, Germany; Mr. Jose Joseph, Vice President (High Voltage Substation), Siemens Ltd., India and Mr. Avik Kumar Roy, Director-Energy Sector, Siemens Bangladesh Ltd. on behalf of SIEMENS Consortium Old Airport Project signed the agreement at Dhaka.

Confidence Steel Ltd., Bangladesh will supply and deliver to Power Grid Company of Bangladesh Ltd.(PGCB) steel pole, conductor, earth wire, insulator fitting etc. for construction of 132kV line and substation gantry structure for evacuation of power from Rental Power Plants(RPP) at different locations. A contract agreement for an amount of BDT13, 03, 46,125.00 signed by Mr. Md. Ashraf Hossain, Company Secretary of PGCB and by Mr. Mohod. Moazzem Hossain Sarkar, Executive Director of Confidence Steel Ltd. on behalf of their respective company in a simple ceremony on 8 March 2010 at later head office.

An agreement was signed between Power Grid Company of Bangladesh Ltd.(PGCB) and Energypac Engineering Ltd. on 3 March 2010 to supply and delivery of 230kV and 132 kV grid substation equipment and materials for extension of existing grid substations for evacuation of power from rental power plants at different locations. In a simple ceremony Mr. Md. Ashraf Hossain, Company Secretary of PGCB on behalf of employer and Mr. Rabul Alam, Director and CEO of Energypac Engineering Ltd. on behalf of the contractor signed the agreement for an amount of BDT15, 74, 14,348.00 in presence of high officials of both the parties.

On 15 November 2009 a contract was signed between Power Grid Company of Bangladesh Ltd.(PGCB) and CCC-Etern, China for a 132kV underground power transmission line between Old Airport to Dhaka Cantonment. The later will design, supply, erect, test and commission the 5km power transmission line for PGCB. In a simple ceremony Mr. Md. Ashraf Hossain, Company Secretary of PGCB and Mr. Hua Jie, Project Manager of CCC in Bangladesh signed the agreement for an amount of USD8, 417,177.30 and BDT84, 599,433.56 for the line.

Joint venture CCC-Etern, China signed a contract with Power Grid Company of Bangladesh Ltd.(PGCB) to design, supply, erect, test and commission a 132kV under ground power transmission line from Old Airport to Dhaka University on turnkey basis for an amount of USD10,427,027.00 and BDT75,818,921.00. In a simple ceremony Mr. Md. Ashraf Hossain, Company Secretary of PGCB and Mr. Mu Mao Wu, Project Manager of CCC in Bangladesh signed the agreement on 15 November 2009 on behalf of their respective organization in presence of high officials of PGCB at Dhaka.

Power Grid Company of Bangladesh Ltd. (PGCB) has engaged joint venture CCC-Etern, China to design, supply, erect, test and commission a 132kV Rampura to Ullan underground power transmission line on turnkey basis. A contract for USD4, 735,056.95 and BDT48, 893,557.60 was signed on 15 Novebmer 2009 between PGCB and the joint venture for the line. Mr. Md. Ashraf Hossain, Company Secretary of PGCB and Mr. CAO Shoufeng, Project Manager of CCC in Bangladesh signed the contract on behalf of their respective organization in presence of high officials of PGCB.
