Dr. Harun-ur-Rashid obtained his MA in history from the University of Dhaka in the year 1972. He participated in the war of liberation of Bangladesh in 1971. He joined BCS (Administration) cadre in 1973 as Deputy Magistrate & Deputy Collector. He served the government in various capacities like, Sub- Divisional Officer (SDO), Additional Deputy Commissioner, Deputy Commissioner, and Joint Secretary. He also served as Member (Administration) and Acting Chairman of Bangladesh Power Development Board and retired as Secretary of the government. He obtained his PhD degree from American University, California, USA. His thesis was on Democracy practice in Bangladesh. His wife is Mrs. Rokeya Sultana is a Secretary of Peoples Republic of Bangladesh. He is blessed with two daughters. His elder daughter is a barrister and the youngest one is studying in USA.

Mr. ASM Alamgir Kabir, Chairman, Bangladesh Power Development Board was born on July 7, 1952. He completed his B.Sc. in Electrcal Engineering in 1975 from BUET securing first class and started his career in Bangladesh Power Development Board(BPDB) in January 1976 as an assistant Engineer. He hold very important positions in BPDB and other Power sector Organizations. In his long career Mr. Alamgir Kabir discharged his duties in various positions in the Dhaka Electric Supply, BPDB & Power Cell. He worked in Greatr Dhaka Power Distribution Project, Tariff Cell, Commercial Operation , Planning & Development Programme, Training Directorate etc. before becoming a chairman of & Bangladesh Power Development Board. He received a number of training and participated in various seminer/ workshop on Power Distribution System, Commercial operation, Public Private Partnership, Utility Regulatio, Electricity Sector Reform, Stake holder Role, Fronties in Infrastructure Finance, Energy Regulation etc. in home and abroad. For said purpose he visited UK, France, Germany, Canada, India Nepal. Sri Lanka, Bhutan for several times. Mr. Kabir is a fellow of the institution of Engineers, Franco-Bangladesh Association of Scholars & Trainees and Bangladesh Energy Association.

Born on 6 October 1960, Dr. Shahnawaz Ahmed received his B.Sc. Eng. and M.Sc. Eng. in electrical and electronic engineering respectively in 1982 and 1984 from Bangladesh University of Engineering and Technology (BUET).He earned his PhD in electrical engineering in 1987 from University of Manchester Institute of Science and Technology (UMIST), a world-class institution of England following the prestigious award of a commonwealth scholarship. After serving a local consulting firm he joined the Dept. of Electrical and Electronic Eng. (EEE) at BUET in 1983 as a Lecturer and became a full professor in 1996. In the period 2000-2003 he was on lien from BUET to serve as a Professor in the Faculty of Electrical Engineering at Universiti Teknologi Malaysia (UTM), Johor Bahru a leading public university in Malaysia. He was the Director (July 2003- June 2005)- Centre for Energy Studies at BUET, the Head (June 2005- May 06) of the EEE Dept. at BUET, the Dean (June 2007- June 09) of EEE Faculty at BUET, the Chairman (January 2007-December 2009) of Electrical and Electronics Divisional Committee (EEDC) of Bangladesh Standards and Testing Institution (BSTI), a Director in the Board for Dhaka Power Distribution Company (DPDC) Limited (April 2008-November 2009) and a Director in the Board for Dhaka Electric Supply Co. (DESCO) Limited (July 1997- March 2000). Currently he is a Director in the Board for Power Grid Company of Bangladesh (PGCB) Limited. He has been providing extensive consultancy services to the power utilities and industries since 1988 as a member in the expert team of EEE Dept., BUET. In the recent past he served as a resource person in several training programs sponsored by the USAID for the utility engineers and stakeholders in the energy sector of the SAARC countries and by the German Technical Cooperation (GTZ) for the technical people engaged in promoting renewable energy at remote rural places in Bangladesh. Also he served as an expert in the national committees to investigate into the blackouts that occurred recently in Bangladesh power system and to recommend effective measures for averting grid failure and/or quick restoration of the system. Prof. Ahmed acted as an invited reviewer for 15 reputed international journals. He has supervised 1 PhD and 10 MSc theses at BUET and UTM, and around 63 undergraduate projects at BUET, UTM and MIST (Military Institute of Science and Technology, Dhaka). He has 58 publications of which 27 are in refereed international journals and monographs, and 20 in international conference proceedings. In recognition of professional standing Prof. Ahmed has been elected to the grade of Senior Member in the Institute of Electrical and Electronic Engineers, Inc. (IEEE) USA (since 1994), Fellow in the Institution of Engineers, Bangladesh (since 1996) and Life Fellow in Bangladesh Computer Society (since 1997). He also received the "2nd Annual Research Excellence Award; 1998" from the Southern California Chapter of American Association of Bangladeshi Engineers & Architects (AABEA), USA, “Laureate of the annual (2002) competition” award from the Royal academy of Overseas Sciences, Belgium for the study “Photovoltaic Supplement to Diesel Generator Based Supply in an Off-grid Location of East Malaysia” and "BAS-M.O. Ghani Gold Medal 2003" from Bangladesh Academy of Sciences in recognition of his contributions in the field of electrical and electronic engineering.

 Mr. Abu Alam Chowdhury was born on 30 september, 1948 in a respectable muslim family of village Popadia, Upazila Boalkhali of Chittagong district. He has done Masters in Political Science from the University of Chittagong.

Blessed with born leadership quality, he was elected as Secretary General of Students Union of Sir A.T. College and played commendanle role in the great 69 movement againt Pakistani Ruller. During his studentship in Chittagong University Central Students Union(CUCSU) and participated in liberation war of Bangladesh with great valour.

After completing his education he has initiated business career in media sector. Gradually he expanded his business in Sea Food Processing and Handicraft sub-sector, where he is still flourishing. It may be metioned here that for the diversification of export item and also for hihgest volume of export, he is awarded National Export Gold Trophy for record eleven times.

To his credit he made multi-dimesonal contribution for the Trade and Industry. He was President of Bangla Craft and founder President of Bangladesh Craft & Giftware Association. Mr. Chowdhury served as Director for 6 terms covering 12 years in Apex body of FBCCI. Currently, he is Vice President of FBCCI, Vice President of Confederation of Asia-Pacific Chambers of Commece and Industry(CACCI) 2008-2010. He isfounder member of the Daily Financial Express, mimber of International Chamber of Commerce (ICC) Bangladesh, EC member of SAARC Chamber of Commerce & Industry etc. For long time he is recognized as CIP (Export) by the Bangladesh Government.

His contribution to the Trade & Industry could be highlighted, in short: main formulator of first export policy of Bangladesh, major contributor from private sector to prepare National Budget Strcture, easy reimbursement of claim from ECG scheme etc.

Mr. Abu Alam Chowdhury participated in many international seminar & conference organized by ESCAP, UNCATAD, EU, CBI, TDI, CACCI etc with great success. In most of the occation he either led the delegation or played most active role for the interest of the country.

Mr. Chowdhury is a well traveled man & visited countries like USA, UK, Canada, Russia, Italy, Germany, Spain, Greece, Turkey, Belgium, Holland, Switzerland, France, U.A.E, K.S.A, Qatar, Thailand, Singapore, Malaysia, Australia, Japan, Philippine, Pakistan, India, Sri-Lanka, Bhutan, Nepal, China etc for many times.

True to his social commiment he also served as Executive Vice President of JAYCEES International & JCI Senator, President of Chittagong Samitee etc.

Mr. Quazi Faruque, a noted journalist and pioneer of Consumer Right Movement in Bangladesh, was born in 1949. He completed his Masters in Management from Rajshahi University in, 1972. Professionally he is a journalist. At present he is working as a Chief Editor of "Mukto Tathoya" and General Secretary of Consumers Association of Bangladesh (CAB). He has traveled many countries of Asia, Europe and Pacific region and attended the World Summit on Information society (WSIS) in Geneva, Switzerland.

Dr. Jamal Uddin Ahmed, a renowned Fellow member of the ICAB and the partner of country's one of the prominent Chartered Accountancy Firm " Hoda Vasi Chowdhury and Company". He was born on 1st January, 1957 in a respectable Muslim Family. He completed hisM.Com in Accounting from Dhaka University with the position of First Class in 1979. After completion of his Chartered Accountancy in 1985 from ICAB he has done Phd. in Accounting from University of Wales, U.K in 1996. He also attended various training program at home and abroad. He is specialized in Energy sector and attended a wide range of training program. He conducted financial audit in REB from 2002 to 2004. In his working experience at home and abroad, he served-Rupali Bank Ltd. as IAS specialist, Central Bank of Bangladesh as IAS specialist, World Bank as consultant, Dhaka Bank Ltd. as Consultant, Prime Bank Ltd. for conducting operational audit, Beximco Pharmaceuticals as head of financial systems and HRD.

Mr. S M Khabiruzzaman has obtained his B. Sc Engineering (Electrical) from BUET and obtained P Eng from Bangladesh Professional Engineers Registration Board. He has long experience in BTTB, TSSL, and BTCL since last 37 years. He is the Chief Executive Officer of BTCL now. He has got professional education and training in telecommunication, and management, satellite earth station, optical fiber & microwave in Bangladesh & abroad. He got professional membership from IBE, Bangla Academy, and Syndicate of REUT etc. He visited different countries of Asia and Europe continents

Md. Ruhul Amin, Son of Lt. A.S.M. Abdul Mazid of District Rajshahi completed his graduation degree in Electrical Engineering in the year 1969. He joined EPWAPDA in the year in 1970 as Asstt. Engineer. During his tenure in EPWAPDA / BPDB, he served in the field of Distribution, Communication, Power System Control & Operation etc. He joined in PGCB in the year 2003 and served in Transmission, System Operation, Planning & Design. At present, he is holding the post of Managing Director, PGCB. .
