The aim of the project is to establish a computer aided modern control center at Rampura and a Back-up Center in Biddyut Bhaban
|

By which the whole power network of Bangladesh will be visible from one central point in respect of monitoring and controlling the lines, sub-stations and generators.
To achieve this, an optical fiber communication network comprising of 4400km OPGW will be utilized.
2515km of the OPGW will be installed under NLDC project scope and other 1900km is either in existence or under process of installation through other ongoing transmission line projects
